Our 2017 Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations and Refunds Policy of Magical Spain

A)  Since starting in 1998, Magical Spain has NEVER cancelled a trip. 

But if we were to cancel a trip, consumers are protected as we will refund 100% of all payments made.

B)  If the customer cancels a trip reservation we offer a fair policy in contrast to many travel and airline companies that offer a draconian policy in their own favor.

We prefer to appreciate and respect our customers. That is why we offer a more pro-consumer policy

as that is how we’d like to be treated. Plus happy customers are our business plan.

For any important vacation anywhere, we highly suggest taking out trip cancellation insurance with Travel Guard or another leading provider. As of June 1, 2017 our new customers will be required to have travel insurance.

So for customer cancellations, our policy is to refund payments received, less the following fees to pay our suppliers and our expert staff time spent working on your custom private Spain trip.

Days Prior to Trip     Refund less Trip Cancellation Fee / Person Below:

31 – 90+ days                               500€

30  – 21 days                               50% of trip price

20  – 13 days                               70% of trip price

12 –   0 days                               85% of trip price

To be fair, please note with a confirmed reservation for a 10 day private trip, entails some 25 to 30 agreements to retain the expert services of busy professionals and businesses.These many professionals and hotels often TURN AWAY other business based on committing to a confirmed trip with us. With our suppliers, we are often asked to prepay hotels and many services.

This often include, guides, drivers, hotels, restaurants, cooking classes, gourmet food tastings, cultural visits, hiking, horseback, wine or tapas tasting or other options on for example our Best of Spain tour.  That is why with with late cancellation we need to pay them anyway. Sorry, there is no refund from unused services while on tour.

CANCELLATION PROCESS:    

If you must cancel a trip, we ask you to notify us by your regular email ASAP  +  send a photo of a signed cancellation request note.  In the email or note please include full trip dates, full name of all participants, address + phone number.  We will need to call you to verify your identity and confirm the cancelation.

In the rare event that we were to cancel a tour we are delighted to do full, fast & complete refund of all payments by customers

Again, we have cancelled 0 tours since 1998.
