Dan and I were talking about your trip, a winter tour of Spain or Portugal. He is just back from Portugal meeting with suppliers and now in sunny Seville (see photo above 🙂
Dan mentioned that Lisbon and Portugal is amazing & sunny most of the year. But winter in Portugal, December & January weather can be bad or hit and miss. So it’s risky b/c it sits on the Atlantic. If a storm blows in then a fun guided tour or excursion might be unpleasant.
That’s why our suggestion for a Winter tour of Spain or Portugal is to do Spain. Just fly into sunny southern Spain’s Andalucia either Seville or Malaga. Some of our best Andalucia ideas here.
Do 5 – 6 or more days in Andalucia where we know the best guides, hotels, drivers, food & wine + the prettiest small towns. Then if desired, head to Barcelona: either fly 1h or bullet train 5.5h to Barcelona or Madrid.
We are now super busy with a number of fully paid trips (Thanksgiving & Christmas) to work on.
So if want us to schedule time to work on your custom-made trip, please see our planning process & deductable retainer fees here.
We can also add Madrid in the middle. There are a few beautiful towns nearby 🙂 Hope this post Winter tour of Spain or Portugal has been helpful. Please send any questions.
When is your winter tour of Spain or Portugal adventure going to happen?
