Dan OBeirne
American Founder & Partner + Family Guy in Spain
A quote: “You May Delay, But Time Will Not, and Lost Time is Never Found Again.” – Benjamin Franklin
After a corporate job in USA, Dan travels led him to Peru’s Machu Picchu, Chile’s volcanoes, Argentine wine estates, the Great Wall of China, to Seol, South Korea and to much of Europe. But the friendly locals, beauty & safe ambiance of Spain and Portugal captured his heart along with his future Spanish wife. This included timeless traditions, Basque cuisine, medieval castles, unknown Extremadura and Michelin-starred restaurants, Roman Empire archeological heritage, Spanish wine caves, Mediterranean islands, olive groves, Madrid’s art, Seville’s tapas & flamenco. In Portugal, Dan enjoys Lisbon’s historic 7 hills, Porto’s old world charm, the rustic Alentejo and the dazzling Duero Valley. After running with the bulls in Pamplona (never again) and surviving the Iberian fiestas, Dan imagined that Hemingway should have retired in Spain.
Dan’s amigos include Spanish winemakers, chefs, art historians, artists, designers, bio-hackers and artisans. He has been listed by PBS TV travel show host Rick Steves in his Spain travel guides. He is a lifelong New Orleans Saints and LSU fan, but prefers soccer for his young Spanish-American son. Dan has assisted the TRAVEL CHANNEL and MTV on location in Spain. Rachel Harris
Senior Luxury Travel Specialist & Partner
A quote: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.” – Mark Twain
Rachel’s worldview combines working hard + enjoying life with family and friends whenever possible. She grew up in a family of “foodies” so traveling for her was often in search of a perfect meal. After she studied abroad in Spain and her host family were great cooks and loved to travel. They showed her the BIG difference between ”tourist trap Spain” vs. the top local places of savvy Spaniards. After working in a law firm she changed gears and entered the world of luxury travel and has never looked back.
