Private Portugal Tour in 2022

Our private Portugal trips are made to fit your taste and customized for private travel. Unlike some agencies we only offer private tours. The Romans and Moors loved Portugal so much they stayed over 1000 years! Conquering a country is hard, but a once-in-a-lifetime Portugal luxury tour is easy with our expertise on your side.

Now see one of our customer’s favorites, a unique private Portugal tour itinerary. Probably you’ll like some of this but not all? That’s 100% normal and that’s why all our Portugal private 2022 trips are customized to fit.

Lisbon’s unique style and imperial heritage. Sample petiscos / tapas. vinos and feel the Fado, Portugal´s live soul music. Lovely Oporto with the Duero river, wine  + architecture. For romance, Sintra’s fairy-tale palaces + aristocratic ambiance await.

On the Algarve coast, sailing, cycling or hiking. For historic fun, enjoy the UNESCO-listed Roman & Medieval heritage of Evora, ancient dolmens and Alentejo artisan olive oils and cheeses.

Availability may be limited as 2022 looks to be a very busy travel season.

Day 1 – Private Portugal Tour in 2022

Arrival in Porto: afternoon – arrive hotel. We think the Yeatman is terrific but somewhere more
river accessible like the Pestana Porto is better, especially for the men sneaking out
for sunrise or sunset photos. With the overnight travel, it is best to relax at the
hotel and enjoy a great dinner. Perhaps a port wine tasting? Arcadia Chocolate
store for chocolate tasting? Restaurants I think look terrific are O Paparico, Taberna
dos Mercadores, Pedro Limao, or Bacalhau. Maybe the Ode Porto Wine House at the
Praia de Matosinhos. We are open to suggestions and often prefer non touristy
restaurants with a nice view.

1 st full day Porto: 4 hour city private guided tour: Se Cathedral, Livraria Lello bookstore, Dom Luis I Bridge, Clerigos Church and Tower, Mercado do Bolhao (if it has reopened). Lunch and perhaps an

Day 5 – Private Portugal Tour in 2022:

Depart Porto by train to Lisbon. Driver takes us to train station from the
hotel. Hotel: Pestana CR7 Hotel. or upgrade to the Olisippo Lapa Palace.

Is that an option or is there another hotel centrally located
in the city with good views? Depending on arrival time and day of the week, girls
can shop and guys can photograph the city. See a few of the popular city sights.
Perhaps this is a good night for one of the popular Fado dinner shows.

Day 6 – Private Portugal Tour in 2022 Lisbon:
City tour. See the Belem Tower, Sao Jorge Castle, Jeronimos Monastery, Alfama
District, National Tile Museum etc. It will be important for the photographers (and
us to some extent) to photograph from as many miradouros as possible especially
the Sao Pedro de Alcantara, Senhora do Monte, Portas do Sol and Santa Catarina.
Perhaps take the Tram 28 or Santa Justa Elevator or a scenic boat ride on the Tagus
River. If we are in Lisbon on a Tuesday or Saturday, we would like to go to the Feira
da Ladra. Dinner at one of the great restaurants like Cervejaria Ramiro, Mini Bar,
Time out Market, Belcanto or Loco.

Day 7 – Private Portugal Tour in 2022 Lisbon:

Travel to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril. Important to see the Pena Palace, gardens,
Castle of the Moors and Quinta de Regaleira. Perhaps lunch in Cascais at Monte Mar
or at Azenhas do Mar in Azenhas do Mar.

Maybe enjoy spa activities and shopping at least once each in Porto and/or
Lisbon. Spending time at the spa and relaxing in the Algarve region would be great.
Let’s take it easy with visiting all of the museums or churches or cathedrals and do other fun things

Depending on the touring days being Sunday or Monday when
museums, shops and restaurants are closed, we are flexible. I will check with the
girls about interest in cooking or pottery classes.

I think it is best to give you the itinerary I have been working on after several weeks
of research for this private Portugal family tour in 2022.

We are certainly flexible with dates and itineraries.Maybe you are not interested in visiting Coimbra unless there is something exciting to see besides the university.
