If you don’t mind cooler temperature and a more rustic, authentic style then we also LOVE Extremadura in central western Spain. This part of Spain beautiful UNESCO-listed cities and attractions has lots of of hilly countryside, some mountains and a deep tradition of artisan production of high-end cheeses, and charcuterie. However it is more prone to be colder than Andalucia so if that is an issue we suggest Extremadura as ideal in spring, early summer or fall when the sunny skies make for warmer days.
