First, we think the best time for all involved is early October 2020. I know in your previous emails you mentioned that any size group would work BUT I would like your thoughts on what would be the optimal size. – With our network here we can really handcraft an amazing private food tour for any size group. I would suggest 24 or less pax to keep the experience & logistics more personable. If there were more maybe spit the groups is an option too?
I am looking over the “Northern Spain Private Food & Wine Adventure” and it looks great. Is there any way Portugal can be incorporated into it. – OK great Lisbon & or Porto are fascinating for foodies 🙂
My thought is that most of the folks on this trip will probably not be heading back here, so if Portugal could be included, that would be an added bonus.
In talking to potential couples for the trip, I am telling them that this is a private Spain & Portugal FOOD tour and if there are issues with trying new foods, this isn’t the trip for them. We are still looking at a 10-14 day trip. – OK great! You might note that compared to Asia things are not so crazy in general.
For example, despite the jokes, no one eats bulls testicles in Iberia 🙂 Instead Think lots of olive oil, pork, seafood, beef, vegetables, fruits & wine is almost a food group too!!!
Also what would be a “Ballpark” cost per person be?
– There are 100+ variations so this can vary a LOT. To save time, maybe you might suggest a rough price point and we can try to work with that.
Most of us will be flying out of NYC and Boston but there may a couple or 2 that may fly from California. We love the idea of a 2020 private food tour of Spain and Portugal with your expert custom planning.
– We do not do international air as we can’t add any value there. Instead we are experts on all things of quality in Spain and Portugal. The big 3 airports for Iberia are in Madrid, Barcelona & Lisbon. This could start in one country and finish in the other based on your Iberia flight arrival & departure city.
When you get a chance to review this email put together a “Rough” Itinerary and ballpark cost so I can begin to firm up an idea of numbers. We love Spanish food & wine and look forward to Portugal too!
